Lauren Alaina is an official Grand Ole Opry member and American Idol runner-up known for her chart-topping collaborations. Her biggest hits include the Diamond-certified "What Ifs" with Kane Brown, the 4x Platinum "ONE BEER" with HARDY and Devin Dawson, and the Platinum-certified solo #1 single "Road Less Traveled." Alaina is an ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year winner and a two-time CMA Award nominee. She has toured with stars like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Alan Jackson.
Early Life
Born in Georgia to parents Kristy and J.J. Suddeth, Lauren Alaina was a high school cheerleader and CiCi's Pizza employee who began singing at age three and was inspired by her cousin Holly to pursue music after winning numerous childhood talent competitions.
Career Highlights
After starting in talent competitions at age eight, Lauren Alaina rose to fame as the runner up on American Idol season 10 and signed with Interscope, Mercury Nashville, and 19 Recordings to release her 2011 debut album Wildflower. She moved to Nashville as a teenager to hone her songwriting skills, eventually achieving three number one hits including the multi-platinum Road Less Traveled. In 2022, she reached a career milestone by being inducted as the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Family & Personal Life
Lauren Alaina married Cam Arnold in 2024 after meeting at a music event in Mexico. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Beni Doll Arnold, in 2025. An avid animal lover, Alaina included the couple's two poodles in their star-studded Nashville wedding ceremony.
Current Tour & Setlist
Lauren Alaina is supporting Darius Rucker on the Songs of Summer Tour starting in June 2026 with stops in Grand Rapids, Cincinnati, and Clarkston. Her setlist features hits like Road Less Traveled and What Ifs along with covers such as Here for the Party.
