Early Life
Raised by a single mother in Tennessee and Georgia, Kane Brown overcame a tumultuous childhood marked by poverty and homelessness while finding an escape in basketball and music, eventually transitioning from middle school R&B influences to country music after winning a high school talent show.
Career Highlights
After leaving The X Factor to avoid a boy band, Kane Brown built a massive audience through viral Facebook covers and moved to Nashville to release his 2015 crowdfunded EP. He signed with RCA Nashville in 2016 and achieved a historic milestone as the first artist to simultaneously top all five Billboard country charts. Beyond his chart success, he became the first Black person to win ACM Video of the Year and established his own label venture, 1021 Entertainment.
