Jordan Davis is a country music singer-songwriter known for his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Hits like "Singles You Up" and "Slow Dancing in a Parking Lot" showcase his blend of modern country with a touch of traditional sound. He's quickly become a prominent voice in the genre.
Early Life
Growing up in Shreveport, Louisiana, Jordan Davis was immersed in a creative household where his uncle was a professional songwriter and his father regularly played classic country records, though he initially pursued an environmental science degree and worked as an analyst before following his older brother to Nashville.
Career Highlights
After graduating from LSU with an environmental science degree and briefly working as a consultant, Jordan Davis moved to Nashville in 2012 at the urging of his brother and spent several years bartending at a local restaurant while honing his craft. His persistence led to a publishing deal in 2015 and a recording contract with MCA Nashville on Leap Day 2016, followed by the release of his 2017 debut single "Singles You Up" which became a 4x Platinum viral and radio smash. His career reached a definitive peak with the 2021 Luke Bryan collaboration "Buy Dirt," a CMA Song of the Year winner that helped transition him from a successful hitmaker into a stadium-level storyteller with eight career number ones.
Family & Personal Life
Jordan Davis married his wife, Kristen O'Connor, in 2017 after meeting at a holiday party while he was still working as a bartender. The couple has four children: daughter Eloise (born 2019), son Locklan (born 2021), son Elijah (born 2023), and daughter Sadie (born 2025). Music runs deep in his family as his older brother, Jacob Davis, is also a successful country singer and songwriter who co-wrote Jordan's massive hit "Buy Dirt."
