At just 23, Hudson Westbrook is roping in fans with his soulful twang and down-home charm. Raised on a Texas cattle farm, this rising country star traded hay bales for guitar strings in 2020, teaching himself to play during the pandemic’s quiet days. By his freshman year at Texas Tech, he’d penned his first song, a heartfelt ode that hinted at the magic to come.

Westbrook’s big break came with “Take It Slow,” a smooth, heartfelt track he posted on social media. By sunrise, the video had racked up nearly 2 million views, turning the small-town kid into an overnight sensation. “I was just messing around,” he laughs, “but the world decided to listen.” With that, he ditched college to chase his musical dreams full-time, a gamble that’s paying off in spades.

Since then, Westbrook’s been a whirlwind, gracing stages at Austin City Limits and other major festivals, even hitting the road with Texas country titan Parker McCollum. His raw, authentic sound, think dusty boots and wide-open plains, has fans buzzing.

And the best is yet to come. On July 22, he’ll make his Grand Ole Opry debut, a bucket-list moment for any country artist. Three days later, on July 25, his debut album, Texas Forever, drops, promising a love letter to his roots.

With his star rising faster than a Texas sunrise, Hudson Westbrook’s proving he’s here to stay. Keep an eye on this cowboy, he’s just getting started.
