Morgan Wallen Donates $1.2 Million for New High School Field
By: Brian Zwerner
Morgan Wallen is making headlines for more than just his music. He just pledged $1.2 million to his old high school. The money will build a new baseball field at Gibbs High in Tennessee. This is a special moment for the country superstar.
The donation hits close to home for Wallen. He was once a star pitcher for the Gibbs Eagles. He spent his childhood dreaming of a professional career in the Major Leagues. Those dreams came to a sudden halt during his senior year. A serious elbow injury ended his time on the mound forever. He turned his focus to country music after that injury. Now he is helping the next generation of players chase their own dreams.
The Morgan Wallen Foundation is behind the massive gift. The foundation is funded by his fans. Three dollars from every concert ticket sold goes directly to his charity work. It focuses on both youth sports and music education. The organization recently donated over $600,000 in musical instruments to schools across the country. They believe every child should have the chance to play and create.
This generosity is possible because of his record breaking success. Wallen is currently on his 2026 Still The Problem stadium tour. It follows his previous run which was the highest grossing country tour of all time. He is selling out the biggest venues in the world. He is using that platform to change lives in his hometown.
