Meet the 5 Hottest Rising Female Country Stars
By: Brian Zwerner
Country music has always had great women. Right now it has an embarrassment of them, and five names in particular deserve your attention.
Ella Langley grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, taught herself guitar at fourteen after her grandfather passed, and eventually dropped out of Auburn University to chase music full time. That gamble paid off in historic fashion. In 2026 she became the first female artist ever to simultaneously top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts with "Choosin' Texas," swept the ACM Awards, and delivered an acceptance speech that had the entire room on its feet. She is the moment right now.
Megan Moroney has nine ACM nominations to her name in 2026, the most of any artist at the show, and a growing catalog of sharp, emotionally honest songs that connect with fans on a level that defies radio categories. She is building something real and doing it fast.
Dasha, born Anna Dasha Novotny in San Luis Obispo, California, became only the second solo female country artist after Taylor Swift to join Spotify's Billions Club, thanks to her breakout hit "Austin (Boots Stop Workin')." She released that song independently before a major label came calling, which tells you everything about her instincts.
Ashley Cooke is heading out on a world tour in 2026 that wraps at the Ryman Auditorium, one of the most sacred stages in country music. She has a number one hit on SiriusXM and a sophomore album on the way. The best is clearly still ahead.
Avery Anna won the 2026 ACM New Female Artist of the Year and has accumulated over 1.7 billion global streams, all at twenty-two years old. She first went viral singing acoustic covers from her bathtub during the pandemic, and has spent every year since proving that the talent behind those videos was the real thing.
Five different sounds. Five different roads to the top. One thing they all share: country music has no idea how big any of them is going to get.
