Lee Brice is a Sumter, South Carolina-born country singer-songwriter who went from a career-ending football injury at Clemson to co-writing Garth Brooks's historic chart-topping debut "More Than a Memory" and building his own catalog of six platinum-selling albums fueled by a powerful baritone voice and deeply personal storytelling rooted in faith, family, and Southern life.
Current Tour & Setlist
Brice's 2026 "Sunriser Tour" hit Canadian markets in April with support from Brett Kissel and Grace Tyler, tied to his sixth studio album You, Me, and My Guitar released on Curb Records in March 2026, before extending to U.S. dates including Waukegan, Illinois on June 5 and Waite Park, Minnesota on June 12, with further headlining stops running through the fall. Fans can expect a career-spanning setlist featuring "Love Like Crazy," "I Drive Your Truck," "Hard to Love," "Rumor," and new material from You, Me, and My Guitar.
Early Life
Born Kenneth Mobley Brice Jr., Lee Brice grew up in a working-class, church-centered household where his mother sang in a traveling gospel group called the Lewis Sisters, giving him an early and deep immersion in harmony and performance. He began playing piano by ear as young as age seven, picking out hymns and country songs without formal lessons, started writing songs around age 10, and later became a standout athlete who earned a football scholarship to Clemson University as a long snapper before a career-ending arm injury in 1998 redirected him fully toward music.
Career Highlights
After his football career ended at Clemson, Brice moved to Nashville in 2002 to pursue songwriting, driving around in his Ford Ranger looking for any venue where he could play with nothing but a guitar and a speaker, until producer Doug Johnson struck a publishing and artist development deal with him. He went on to co-write Garth Brooks's "More Than a Memory," which in 2007 became the first song in country chart history to debut at number one, and also co-wrote the Eli Young Band's "Crazy Girl," the Billboard Year-End top country song of 2011. Brice signed with Curb Records and released his debut album Love Like Crazy in 2010, with the title track spending a then-record 56 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and he has since built a catalog of six studio albums with hits including "A Woman Like You," "I Drive Your Truck," "Hard to Love," "I Don't Dance," and the number-one duet "I Hope You're Happy Now" with Carly Pearce.
Family & Personal Life
Brice met his future wife Sara Reeveley as a teenager on a beach in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, lost touch, and reconnected years later while he was on a radio tour in Ohio; the couple welcomed their first son, Takoda, in 2008 and married on April 21, 2013. Their second son Ryker Mobley arrived later in 2013, and their daughter Trulee joined the family in 2017. Brice wrote his deeply personal hit "I Don't Dance" for Sara, and the official music video features footage from their wedding. His younger brother Lewis Brice is also a country artist and appeared on Season 1 of CMT's Can You Duet.
