Marie Osmond Still Holds Youngest Country #1 Record

Move over, Taylor Swift! While Swifties know their idol scored her first number one hit at 18 with "Love Story," that's not the youngest age for a country music chart-topper.
LeAnn Rimes' beat Taylor by reaching number one at just 15 with "One Way Ticket." A remarkable achievement, indeed, but even Rimes doesn't hold the record.
That honor belongs to Marie Osmond. Back in 1973, Osmond, then a fresh-faced 14-year-old, captivated the nation with "Paper Roses." The song soared to the top of the charts, cementing Osmond's place in country music history as the youngest artist ever to achieve a number one hit.
While Swift and Rimes have certainly made their mark, Osmond's record remains unbroken, a testament to her early success and the enduring power of "Paper Roses."
