Early Life
Raised in Prosper, Texas, Tanner Usrey was a child who constantly sang along to Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks before his brothers introduced him to the Red Dirt scene and a Wade Bowen concert inspired him to pick up the guitar in high school.
Career Highlights
Usrey quit his job as a skip tracer in 2019 to pursue music full time, eventually releasing his debut Medicine Man EP that same year. He gained significant momentum when his song The Light was featured in the Yellowstone season four finale and his single Take Me Home surpassed 10 million streams. After signing with Atlantic Records, he released his major label debut album These Days in 2025, though he notably chose to remain based in Texas rather than moving to Nashville.
Family & Personal Life
Tanner Usrey maintains a private personal life with no public record of a spouse, children, or past marriages. He often performs alongside his brother Tim Usrey, a fellow country musician who helped introduce him to the Texas music scene. The singer is known for his close relationship with his fans and frequently expresses gratitude for the community that supports his career.
